SCM-LCF-SM - Ferrule adapter 2.5mm to 1.25mm for RB series of meters and VFL pens, SC male to LC female, high precision sleeve

The SCM-LCF-SM Ferrule Adapter is a perfect complement for RBOPM-500, RPONPM-600 or ROPMLS-810 Optical Power Meters and RPEN-110 and RPEN-210 Visual Fault Locator tools.

The adapter provides a high precision zirconia ceramic sleeve ferrule guidance to change from the standard 2.5mm diameter SC (or ST/FC) ferrule to the 1.25mm diameter ferrule used by the smaller LC type connectors. With the help of the SCM-LCF-SM adapter, any of the optical meters can accept direct LC connector cables for measurements. The adapter is designed with an SC Male connector that plugs into the default SC connector of the power meter and converts into an LC Female to accept any LC based patch cord for measurement.

The SCM-LCF-SM is an optional accessory and is available for sale separately. When used with the VFL pens, the adapter plugs first on the LC connector and then into the VFL pen, similar to any SC connector. The insertion losses for the adapter are minimal, each adapter has been tested and measured values are printed on the adapter package label.
