Product description
The FRM220-CH08 is the newest addition for the FRM220 line of fiber media converter chassis available from Datainterfaces.com. The new chassis has only 8 slots for FRM220 compatible media converters and also two slots for dual redundant power supplies. Same power supplies from FRM220-CH20 can be ordered for FRM220-CH08 chassis. Among the converters for FRM220 we can mention the FRM220-1000EAS/X Gigabit dual channel converter card (2 Gigabit copper to SFP converters in same card) or the FRM220-1002ES dual channel converter, leading to a density of 16 Gigabit ports per only 1U of rackmount space, FRM220-10-100I Fast Ethernet in-band managed series converters, FRM220-FXO/FXS POTS over Fiber media converter series and FRM220-SERIAL RS-232/422/485 to fiber converters. The new FRM220-CH08 chassis offers 19" rack mounting brackets (23" mounting options are available on request) with only 1U of space used, saving vital rack space when necessary. Chassis is a perfect choice for high density in-band, web based or SNMP based, managed fiber converters with support for 802.3ah standard.

The chassis provides redundant power supply system with "hot swap" feature, to provide continuous smooth operation of the units installed. It can accomodate bot AC (110V) and DC (48V) power supply units, either in mixed or same type of power input.
