Copper Ethernet Converters
Ethernet over last mile copper converters allow transmission of Ethernet data over several copper based networks. Telephone lines support DSL type technology, extending Ethernet over existing phone-line network. Technologies include symmetrical G.shdsl.bis, G.shdsl and VDSL2 and asymmetrical ADSL2+ standards. Coaxial CATV cables are being used with EoCNA technology delivering throughput close to the wire speed Ethernet over CATV/CCTV networks. A number of different converters allow various data interfaces to connect to the IP network, granting access to a wide variety of equipment to the largest data network in the world, the Internet. Applications include data automation and data collection, remote control and signaling an even surveillance applications that can be run over the Internet. RS232, V35 and E1/T1 interfaces are most used in such applications.
