Direct Attach Cables provide high speed connectivity for 10G/40G interfaces for short distances at a fraction of the cost of separate transceivers and cabling. DAC copper cables are passive and active. Active Optical Cables (AOC) are actually an all-in-one assemblies of optical transceivers and fiber, the design being more affordable as connectivity is eliminated. We offer SFP+ and QSFP+ DACs and AOCs and fan-out cables from QSFP+ to quad SFP+ interfaces.
