STE211W 2 port serial RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 to Ethernet IP Wireless Terminal Server

The serial to Ethernet device server STE211W is bridging RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 Serial Data communications devices to Ethernet IP networks either via RJ45 wired or IEEE 802.11b/g/n WiFi wireless connection. STE211W connects serial devices such as PLC, alarm sensors and PTZ camera controls to IP networks. Applications include industrial/factory automation, public safety, and surveillance systems. The STE211W Serial Server is built for use in light industrial environments, featuring a compact wall-mount design. It operates from 9-32VDC power supply voltages with terminal block connectors and is easy to configure through its web GUI interface.

The IP Device Server Windows driver is designed to control the IP Serial Server devices. The driver installs a virtual COM on Windows which maps the virtual COM port to the IP address of the IP Serial Server device across the network, enabling the Windows applications to access remote serial devices over Ethernet. IP Device Server can function as a UDP or a server or client for TCP connection. The application scenarios are direct IP mode, virtual COM mode, and paired mode.

The STE211W terminal server(access server) allows RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 enabled devices to connect over Ethernet(10/100Base-TX) or Wireless WiFi Ethernet using TCP/IP protocol. This small powerful device allows serial only managed devices to be seen and controlled over Internet.
