FRM220-FXO-4The 4 telephone line POTS over fiber multiplexer can now be ordered. The new FRM220-FXO-4 POTS multiplexer, has four telephone line RJ-11 ports and one 155Mbps rate SFP slot. The multiplexer offers flexibility for the optical interface, allowing usage of any 155Mbps rated SFP (multi-mode, single-mode or BiDirectional single strand). The media converter has simple DIP switch settings and embedded AC (90-240V) power supply. Up to 4 telephone lines can be extended over same fiber circuit. For regular extension from CO trunk to handset, a set of FRM220-FXO-4 and FRM220-FXS-4 must be purchased. As any other FRM220 product, the FRM220-FXO-4 can install in any FRM220 series chassis: 20 slot, 8 slot, 4, 2 and individual slot casings.

Extended CWDM wavelength SFPs now available in stock10/2/2014 11:00 AM
CWDM SFPCWDM 80KM SFPs for Gigabit rate have now more channels readily available in stock. The new added wavelengths are part of the less used CWDM channels: 1271nm, 1291nm, 1411nm and 1431nm. There is a total of 18 CWDM channels available between 1271nm and 1611nm, in steps of 20nm. As density increases, the 8 most used channels (1471 to 1611nm) fill up and often there is need for more capacity. We are addressing now such needs by providing from stock the less known CWDM channels from 1271nm to 1451nm. Simply select the less than common channels from the drop down list to see the new additions.

IPM-1SE T1 or E1 over Ethernet extenderThe TDM over IP extender solution allows traditional TDM interfaces like T1 and E1 to be sent over the IP network infrastructure. The IPM-1SE-AC uses the Ethernet interface to connect to the IP based network and provides an RJ45 and software configurable port for E1 or T1 support. The AC version takes 90-240V AC input, but there is also a DC48V version available for telco applications.
The IPM-1SE-AC also has a local LAN Ethernet port for uplink of additional IP based networking equipment. A few other models for TDMoIP applications are available which support 4 T1/E1 interfaces simultaneously.

FRM220-1000EDSA new higher density Gigabit Ethernet card has been launched: the FRM220-1000EDS. The new Gigabit Ethernet converter card, designed for the FRM220 series chassis, has 2 copper 10/100/1000Base-TX ports and two SFP slots. Card is based on a managed 4 port Gigabit switch chipset. Launching the IP Surveillance H.264 full hardware compression servers1/25/2010 11:16 AM
DVS8301CTCUnion has released a complete series of IP Surveillance servers running hardware based H.264 compression support. The H.264 compression standard assures the level of quality required by professional surveillance systems while making the data volume bearable for regular Fast Ethernet based only data networks. Because of the large amount of data that a video surveillance system processes, it is essential this task to be performed by dedicated video servers.

Our line of IP based surveillance products provides professional equipment that does not require separate PC based servers for monitoring and decoding. In fact, a complete CCTV traditional surveillance network can be switched to IP based encoder/decoder servers without noticing any change in the surveillance performance.
Thus, the reach of traditional CCTV systems can now be extended far beyond coaxial cable limits, using the Ethernet and IP networks (or better said, the Internet) as media of transport for secure and professional CCTV circuit extensions. The family of H.264 video servers include video encoders and decoders. The video encoders have one or more CCTV video/audio inputs and an RJ45 10/100BaseTX network port. Video Decoders have the RJ45 Ethernet connector and one or several CCTV video and audio outputs, depending on the equipment model. Besides video and audio signals, the IP H.264 servers also support DiDo dry relay contacts for PTZ camera controls and other input/output relays for external sensors or devices to be remotely controlled.

From the IP Server family, the DVS-8501E is the basic H.264 video encoder with one CCTV camera input and the DVS-8501D is the basic H.264 video decoder. Each of these small size IP servers, besides of their standalone usage, they can be installed in various casings of two, four or twenty cards together. The new SDH01A high capacity fiber multiplexer (63T1/E1, E3/DS3, Ethernet) is now available 12/14/2009 10:45 AM
The SDH01A fiber multiplexer is a STM-1 compatible modular unit that can be configured as either ADM (Add-Drop Multiplexer) or TM (Terminal Multiplexer) node in an SDH STM-1 fiber network.

SDH01A has two fiber ports for ring insertion or point to point connection with redundancy option. A large range of optical modules are available, including single-mode up to 120Km and single strand up to 80Km modules. The 4 data slots of SDH01A can be populated with 8E1 or 8T1 modules, E3/DS3 modules or Fast Ethernet 10/100Mbps module. Only one DS3 module is supported per chassis. Up to 32 T1 or E1 can be transported in a point to point using one chassis, and if the daisy chaining is implemented, up to 63 E1/T1 interfaces can be transported in point to point or a chain link network (linear network). If the SDH01A is used in and SDH STM-1 ring, up to 32 T1/E1 can be extracted/injected with each SDH01A unit.

The multiplexer supports SNMP, console and telnet management. It has already been tested with other vendor SDH STM-1 equipment and passed all tests of compatibility and mapping standards.

EFM G.shdsl.bis modems - Ethernet First Mile DSL equipment now available10/12/2009 10:27 AM
The EFM family of DSL extenders is using the G.shdsl.bis technology for transmission of Ethernet over one, two or four pairs of telephone copper lines. EFM series are supporting the 2Base-TL standard, also called the Ethernet First Mile standard.

All EFM models support copper line pair bonding for increased throughput, so that the 4 pair model reaches the 22.8Mbps capacity. EFM models use the 802.3ah management protocol, making them a very powerful tool for service providers and providing all needed mass deployment features. EFM series have a 4 port Ethernet switch with advanced VLAN and QoS capabilities. Management includes web-based interface, SNMP, telnet CLI interface and local console port.

The EFM-10 works on one pair of copper wires, with capacity of 5.7Mbps, while the EFM-20 and EFM-40 do work on 2 and respectively 4 pairs, reaching up to 11.4 or 22.8Mbps. All EFM models support QoS services and are able to adjust ingress/egress data rates. Data traffic can be proritized according to WRR/ BE or SP rules. POTS interface support on the FMUX01APlus fiber multiplexer8/10/2009 10:20 AM
The improved FMUX01APlus fiber multiplexer has now support also for POTS over fiber applications. FMUX01APlus is a modular multiplexer that can aggregate up to 16 T1 or E1 interfaces, RS-232, x.21 or V.35 ports over same fiber run.

Recently, the engineers at CTCUnion have added POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) support to the multiplexer. A total of 16 POTS lines can be aggregated over same fiber circuit. Any combination of T1 and POTS or other data interfaces can be achieved on the FMUX01APlus.

The fiber multiplexer offers a far better budget solution for POTS over fiber extension applications compared with the FRM220-FXO-FXS single port POTS extender. There are 4 data slots that can be populated with 4 FXS or 4 FXO ports each. The phone lines are paired 1:1 for each line of each data module. Aside of the regular PBX line extension application, the FMUX01APlus supports "hot-line" operation, in which a link can be established between two handsets only. When one side goes off-hook, the remote party rings automatically. Such operation is possible between FXS supporting data modules.

Besides the capability of aggregating T1, E1, data interfaces and POTS lines (up to a total of 16 such channels) the FMUX01APlus also has a full duplex 100Mbps Ethernet channel available. In short time a new firmware version is expected to provide VLAN tagging capabilities for the 3 port Ethernet switch included in the fiber multiplexer.
