The G703FT1 access unit allows serial data ports to connect to fractional T1 (DS1) interfaces. Most common data ports are V.35 and X.21 (RS-530 is default, no cables needed) and there are also cables available on demand for RS-449. Data port rates are selectable via DIP switches in multiples of 56 or 64Kbps, up to 1.544Mbps data rate. Any time slot can be configured for usage via same DIP switch settings. T1 link can be clocked from recovered LBT clock, data port sync clock or internal oscillator.
