The FIB1-1000ES Gigabit Ethernet is an extremely versatile optical fiber media converter for 10/100/1000Base-T copper to Gigabit SFP slot. Any 1000Base-SX/LX/LHX/ZX or WDM/CWDM SFP transceiver can be installed in the FIB1-1000ES converter. Unit also provides NMS functions for Link-Loss-Forwarding, Remote-Monitoring-Status, and Loop-Back-Test. These optional features are especially useful when the standalone units are linked to one of our rack type units with SNMP management. FIB1-1000ES can accommodate any type of miniGBIC (SFP) optical modules, either multimode or singlemode type. Unit is offering unparalleled flexibility and easy migration from short-haul to long haul fiber connections by simply changing the optical module interface. The Gigabit copper interface has auto-negotiation and speed selection from 10 to 1000 Mbps.
The uniqueness of FIB1-1000ES Gigabit Ethernet series is given by the ability to convert from standalone media converters to cards for FRM301 chassis, in matter of minutes.
